Traffic Safety Stats NHTSA 2020 Data

While COVID-19 slowed most of the world down and changed how we lived our lives, one thing it didn’t slow down or stop was drunk-driving-related fatalities. The NHTSA has published data from 2020 and the results were disheartening, although not surprising.

One key finding included:

“In 2020 there were 11,654 fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes in which at least one driver was alcohol-impaired. This totaled 30 percent of all traffic fatalities in the United States for the year.”
